Can You Tell (The Kids Are Radioactive Remix)

Sometimes I look at some of the tracks submitted on Hypemachine, and I wonder how old the people are that are remixing the shit out of songs. A lot of the splice and dice remixes seem pretty amateur, and I can only imagine some 18-year-old kid used Garageband on his newly bought Macbook for college. Does skill and production value come with time?

I only question this because Jordan Elliot of The Kids Are Radioactive can put out some pretty hot tracks. Only 18 years of age, Jordan has a really strong grasp on his synths in his productions. It shines throughout all of his tracks, and it baffles me that some teenager has the passion and heart to master this musical art. At 18, I was stuck in high school trying to find a girlfriend, whereas Jordan has a pretty large following already. Amazing.

I just received some of his new tracks, including a Ra Ra Riot remix, in my spacetoasters mailbox and they are quite the treat. According to him, their full album drops sometime in October. Check it. This guy is a musician to keep an eye on.
